Glass tobacco pipe fumed color changing question?
I have a camelion glass tobboco pipe it is a spoon style pipe iv had it for a while now and use it everyday and it still has barly change colors from clear is there anything I can do to aid the prosess for it to change
Answer:
In the early 1980’s glass artists experimented with silver and gold fuming processes to change the characteristics of glass hand-pipes. They discovered that a thin layer of pure gold and/or silver applied to the inside or the surface of the pipe created a phenomenon once tobacco was introduced. The tobacco particulate, combined with the precious metals refracted the light like a prism, causing the pipe to change colors. Different tobaccos produced different hues.
Be sure you use the right cleaner. Either the coating is off, or the tobacco. You can contact their customer support.
