In other words, hands off the controls. The car gets you to where you want to go without driver involvement for the most part. I have read recently there is testing being done but I don't remember where I saw it. Also with GPS becoming commonplace, the GPS should accelerate development.

we already have it. in the united states, there are proto-types out there that are being tested and used. in europe its been out for some time now in many models being used to test. it was on the discovery channel several months ago.
